A Chara,
As the clocks changed over the weekend, we are now well and truly approaching the conclusion of the GAA year. On Saturday, our GAA For All season finished up for the year. This event every Saturday morning over the last number of months has been an outstanding addition to Aghada GAA club in 2022. It was brilliant to see all the young boys and girls enjoying themselves all summer long. A massive thanks to all the coaches who gave up their Saturday morning to ensure every child had great fun down in Páirc Liam Uí Riain. We hope to see everyone back down in the club early next year for some more fun and games.
East Cork Division 3 Junior Football League Final Vs Midleton:
Our Junior C Footballers had a fantastic victory over Midleton last Friday evening in the East Cork Division 3 football league final. In what was an extremely tight game that went to extra time, our lads eventually emerged victorious by the narrowest of margins on a score line of Aghada 1-13 Midleton 1-12.
Well done to all involved and it was also great to see such a big crowd out to support the lads!
Full match report will follow during the week.
Dingle Over 35s tournament
There is an over 35s Football tournament taking place in Dingle on the 12th of November.
John O’Connor is exploring the possibility of Aghada entering a team. There are 24 teams involved and each team is guaranteed two games (20 minutes per half). A key point is there are rolling subs on the day!!! There will be some refreshments and a BBQ after with plenty of craic guaranteed. A link to the tournament is attached here: www.Tommygriffintournament.com
If you are interested in taking part, please text John O’Connor on 086 106 8346 by 9pm on Tuesday the 1st of November (this Tuesday). You will need to have paid player membership this year for insurance purposes.
