A Game of Two Halves in Copperalley!
Aghada U14's made the trip to Copperalley yesterday evening to face Youghal and the home team started the brighter, registering four points within the opening six minutes. Under constant pressure, Aghadaโs defence were forced to work hard as Youghal continued their dominance, heading into the break with a commanding lead of 1-8 to 0-3.
However, following a stern team talk at half time, Aghada emerged a different side. By the 13th minute of the second half, they had rattled the net three times, completely turning the momentum. The entire team put in a spirited and skilful display, limiting Youghal to just 1-1 after the break. Aghada added some well-worked scores and rounded off a brilliant comeback to secure a 5-8 to 2-9 victory. A fantastic second-half performance full of heart, teamwork, and determination. Well done boys
