A Chara,
We have a huge weekend ahead of us this weekend on and off the pitch.
On Saturday, our Ladies Football club host a family fun day to celebrate 50 years of LGFA in Aghada. This promises to be a great event with something for all the family. The inaugural Tommy Foley U12 Ladies Football Tournament kicks off the day at 12 noon.
The fun day then commences at 1pm for three hours until 4pm. On the day, there will be carnival games, foot darts, go karting, a rodeo bull, dunk tank, sumo wrestling, a penalty shootout competition and much more so there's something for all the family to get stuck into! Also, the Senior Ladies Football Championship and League trophies will be available for everyone to get a photo with.
Entry on the day is:
€10 for one person
€25 for a family ticket (kids only)
€30 for a family ticket (with an adult)
Both cash and card payment will be available on the day tomorrow when entering.
Please come down to celebrate this special day for our club and have some fun while you soak in the atmosphere!
Then, later that evening, attention firmly turns to events ON the pitch. Our
Premier Intermediate Footballers face
Aghabullogue at 6pm in Ballincollig. Our lads will need a win here to ensure progression to the next round so a big Aghada support is very important. Tickets for this game are available at the following link:

Earlier on Saturday, our Junior C Footballers face Russell Rovers in the East Cork Junior C Football Championship. The game throws in at 2pm so please support if you are in a position to do so. Best of luck to all the players, manager Richie Condon and his management team.
On Sunday we have two big games. Up first, our Senior Ladies Footballers will hope to make it four from four as they face Castlehaven in their final round robin championship game. The game throws in at 12 noon in Rostellan so please come down to roar on our women if you can. Best of luck to all the players, manager Eric Smith & his management team.
At 2pm, our Junior A Footballers are in championship action against Glenbower Rovers in Ballinacurra for their final round robin game. Similar to our Premier Intermediate Footballers, our lads need a win here to ensure progression to the knockout stages. Please support the lads if you can. Best of luck to all the players, manager John O’Connor and his management team.
So, in summary, a huge weekend for CLG Áth Fhada ahead!
Please get out to support our teams in their crucial championship clashes.
Have a great weekend.
