A Chara,
As we anticipate another long season of GAA, Ladies Football and Camogie action, we have a number of people who will take charge of our club teams for the 2025 season. A few managements are still to be finalised but below is a list of mentors (so far) for the year ahead.

Intermediate A Hurling:
Eoin Murphy (Coach), Alan Devoy, Kenneth O’Keeffe, Donal Walsh, Fergal Condon.
Junior B Hurling:
Willie Wallace, Alan Walsh, Mark White, Ger Lynch, Paul Walsh.
Junior A Football:
John O’Connor (Manager).
Junior C Football:
Richie Condon (Manager).
Premier Junior Camogie:
Donal Godfrey (Manager), Kieran Walsh, Tim Barry.
Senior Ladies Football:
Eric Smith (Manager), Eoin O’Neill, Ger Looney, Richard Good, Vince Rohan.
Best of luck to all these management teams. It is great to have so many people willing to get involved with our teams in the hope of improving our players and ultimately bringing silverware back to the parish! Fingers crossed there’s plenty of silverware on the table at the end of the season.
Executive Committee: Roles to fill
We are still looking to fill a couple of roles on our executive committee for 2025. These roles are Childrens Officer along with Green Club Officer. If you have an interest in helping out in these areas, please contact any committee member.
Ireland Lights Up Walk:
Our Ireland Lights Up walk continues this Wednesday between 7-8pm in our club grounds. All are welcome to take part in the event. Walk at your own pace, have a chat with friends and get some exercise in. U18’s need to be supervised at all times.
Rebels Bounty:
Rebels Bounty Tickets are on sale for 2025! This draw has been an incredible help for our club financially since it was launched and we would be incredibly grateful if you could support the club by purchasing a ticket if you are in a position to do so. Tickets are available at the following link: https://rebelsbounty.ergogroup.ie/prod/rebelsbounty/join-draw

Victory Banquet:
Our victory banquet is fast approaching and there is only an extremely limited number of tickets remaining. They will be on sale tomorrow (Monday) in the clubhouse between 7-8pm. Get them before they are gone to avoid disappointment.
Development Town Hall:
Our club development committee will hold a town hall type event on Thursday the 23rd of January in the clubhouse between 7-9pm. All are welcome to attend. On the night, a proposal on the redevelopment of our current players gym and main dressing rooms building will be presented. Drawings, 3D views, and background information (including key elements like estimated overall cost and grants) will be displayed on the night. The proposal from the development committee is to build an upstairs level over the current gym and sports hall. This upper level will be then used as a members gym. A lift will also be installed under the proposal for accessibility for all gym users. The current shower area/toilet area in the ladies dressing room will be converted to public toilets with access from the car park. Members of the development committee will be available to answer questions and receive feedback on the night. It is important that a big number attend this event as it is key to get member input in major club developments such as this proposal and what it potentially could mean for the direction the club takes moving forward. People are welcome to call in anytime between 7-9pm on Thursday.
Condolence: Emma Murphy
This week our club lost a much loved volunteer in Emma Murphy who was also the mother of three young Aghada juvenile players Amelia, Aaron and Dylan. Emma was such a friendly face who always had a smile on her face down in the club. She was a fabulous helper in our Sideline Café. Whether it was the warm smile that greeted us with every cup of tea/coffee or the countless hours spent ensuring the café was a welcoming place for all, Emma truly embodied the spirit of our club.
Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to Emma’s husband Trevor, her children and all her family and friends during this difficult time. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.
Have a good week.
Slán,
