Disappointingly for these girls, the scores didn’t come their way at Castle Road this morning. The scoreboard doesn’t truly reflect the intensity of the game. A very physical match against a strong Blarney side. The Girls in Green didn’t give up and gave a fine display of camogie. Throughout the game, this young team showed the true grit and spirit that we have come to expect from them, never giving up. It wasn’t their day with the better team winning today. Well done to all the mentors on guiding and coaching the girls to the final. Thank you to the supporters who were encouraging and extremely vocal throughout. Next, the championship, where we are sure to see these girls continue to play some great camogie. Well done Blarney.
