Thanks to Aghada Juvenile GAA Chairman Donal Walsh – Aghada Ladies Football Chairwoman Aine Conin – Aghada Camogie Chairman Willie Wallace and all three Committee Members/Team Mentors for organising a brilliant U13-U10 Girls/Boys Presentation Social in Aghada Community Hall on Friday 20th of January 2017. Thanks to all parents who attended the social.
The U12 Aghada Camogie Team who were the first Aghada Club Team to play in Semple Stadium Thurles during the 2016 season. Each girl was presented with an individual team photo certificate as a keepsake of this great occasion.
Thanks to Hannah Looney Cork Camogie/Ladies Football Dual Player for 2016 for giving very sound advice to all players which is, to attend training sessions in Rostellan and practice at home to improve skills. She emphasised that the most rewarding aspect of being involved in team sport is making lots of new friends. An Aghada Shop Voucher was presented to Hannah to acknowledge her talents. Hannah won an U12 County Medal with Aghada U12 hurlers and has agreed to give her support to attend occasional training sessions during 2017 season.
A special word of thanks to Barry Moran for displaying slides of all Players/Teams to the large crowd that attended this function, and for giving of his time to take special group photos of the presentations.
Shane Farmer provided the fab music for the Dance Boppers and when ABBA sounded the “Dancing Queens” took to the floor.
The Club Registration Day/Nights for the above three Clubs and Senior Membership will be held in Rostellan over the next few weeks. Each Club would like to welcome new members and helpers to avail of the brilliant facilities that Aghada GAA Club provide equally to all members. Foundation and Child Protection Courses will be provided for all new coaches.
We would appreciate if all supporters of Aghada GAA Club would support the Club Lotto, Club Shop (currently being revamped – open for business in mid February) and All Aghada Teams. “BE SEEN WEAR THE GREEN”
